Telenor Pakistan and PBCC are hoping to facilitate the blind with personal benefits such as fitness, stress relief, resilience, discipline, team work and leadership opportunities through the program.
The ‘Khuddar Pakistan Blind Cricket Talent Hunt’ began on 5th October 2009 spreading over two phases of selection that covered all parts of the country. A total of 16 schools for the visually impaired from 11 cities participated in the talent hunt. At the end of the selection process, a training camp was set up by PBCC in Islamabad , during which the selected forty four students were trained by the National Team Coach, Nafees Ahmed as well as other national level physical trainers.
