­Cell phone ownership among children has increased 68% in the past five years, according to MRI’s recently-released American Kids Study. The teledensity of wireless telephony services has registered a slight increase of 0.1 percent in the country after a period of six months. It reached to 1.7 percent by end of November 2009, latest statistic of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) showed on Friday. The overall Wireless Local Loop (WLL) connections increased to 2.72 million across the country on the network of eight operators by November. (more…)
